Odisha Govt Helps Bring Back Ailing Labourer From Dubai

Swapnil Patnaik - Ailing Labourer From Dubai

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Parivar Directorate, under the Department of Odia Language, Literature, and Culture, has successfully coordinated the return of an Odia laborer undergoing medical treatment in Dubai back to Odisha.

Swapnil Patnaik, a resident of Cuttack district, was employed as a laborer in Dubai when he fell ill with a liver-related condition. While receiving treatment abroad, he requested assistance to be brought back to his home state for further care.

In response, the Indian Consulate General in Dubai, the Chief Resident Commissioner’s Office of the Odisha Government in New Delhi, the Odisha Parivar Directorate, and the Cuttack district administration collaborated closely to arrange his safe return.

Swapnil is currently admitted and receiving treatment at Srirama Chandra Bhanja Medical College and Hospital (SCB Cuttack). The Odisha Parivar Directorate has assured ongoing support and assistance to both Swapnil and his family during this challenging time.
