Odisha Govt Hikes Gratuity Of Teaching & Non-Teaching Staff

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced a significant hike in the gratuity of teachers and staff of government-aided schools and colleges in the state.

As per the Chief Minister’s decision, the death and retirement gratuity for teaching and non-teaching staff has been increased from Rs 5 lakhs to Rs 7.5 lakhs.

The move comes after various teachers’ unions had requested the state government to consider their demand.

The Chief Minister has approved the proposal, bringing cheer to the employees of government-aided educational institutions.
