Odisha Govt Hikes Scholarship Rates For ST/SC Students

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has increased the Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship rates for Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Scheduled Castes (SC) students under the “Mukhya Mantri Medhabi Chatra Protsahan Yojana”.

The Pre-Matric Scholarship rates have been enhanced from Rs 10,500 to Rs 16,000 for boys and from Rs 11,000 to Rs 17,000 for girls per annum. The Post-Matric Scholarship (Mess Management Cost) rates have been increased from Rs 11,000 to Rs 16,000 for boys and Rs 17,000 for girls per annum.

These revised rates apply to ST/SC boarders residing in hostels under the ST & SC Development, M & BCW Department, and School & Mass Education Department, effective from December 1, 2025.
