Bhubaneswar: In a bid to ensure continuity in education during the summer vacation, the Odisha Government has introduced a “Summer Learning Programme for Students,” enabling children to continue their studies through digital platforms.
Under the initiative, lessons will be disseminated via WhatsApp, allowing students to conveniently access study materials from home. The programme will cater to students from pre-primary (Shishu Vatika) to Class VIII.
Officials said that class-wise lessons, supplemented with audio-visual content, will be shared to keep students engaged and facilitate interactive learning during the holiday period. The move is aimed at preventing learning gaps and encouraging productive academic engagement outside the classroom.
A detailed timetable for the programme has also been released, specifying subject-wise schedules for different classes to streamline the learning process.
The initiative is expected to help maintain academic continuity and support students in effectively utilising their summer break.
