Bhubaneswar: The Women & Child Development (W&CD) department of the Odisha government on Thursday issued fresh guidelines for its epoch making flagship scheme Subhadra for welfare of women.

According to an official press release, these guidelines have been prepared so that the beneficiaries can get proper information and apply for inclusion under the scheme.

According to these guidelines, the age of the beneficiary must be 21 years or above and below 60 years.

Eligible women only need to have Aadhaar card/Aadhaar number in their name and their mobile number linked with Aadhaar card. The applicant must have a single-holder bank account (bank account in own name only) and the bank account must be active and direct benefit transfer enabled.

All beneficiaries will be issued a Subhadra card for easy transactions. All eligible women will be paid Rs 50,000 at the rate of Rs10,000 per annum in two installments for 5 years.

Every year, the first installment will be released on Raksha Bandhan day and the second installment on International Women’s Day.

To spread digital financial literacy among women, 100 women from each Gram Panchayat and Municipal area with the highest digital transactions will receive an additional Rs 500 as a reward directly to their bank accounts.

Subhadra Yojana is a epoch-making initiative to promote the all-round development of women. These guidelines are issued for successful implementation of the scheme. All the stakeholders are requested by the department not to be misled by any wrong information regarding this scheme.
