Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday released the 2025 holiday calendar, listing 26 public holidays, including major festivals and national observances.
A notification issued by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department stated, “The Government of Odisha is pleased to declare that State Government offices and Revenue and Magisterial Courts (Executive) will remain closed on the holidays listed in Annexure-1 for the calendar year 2025, Saka-Era 1946 and 1947.”
Additionally, state employees are permitted to take one optional holiday from the prescribed dates, regardless of their religious affiliation, with prior approval. Holidays falling on Sundays or scheduled Saturdays are not marked as official holidays.
