Odisha Govt Revises Leave Order Meant For Its Officials

Bhubaneswar: The General Administration & Public Grievances Department on Wednesday modified its previous order regarding leaves of government employees.

As per the latest decision, government officials will be allowed to avail leave, subject to the condition that they shall return from leave and join at their place of posting immediately in case of emergency. They shall be available on mobile without fail.

Earlier, they were asked to remain available at their respective headquarters even on public holidays till June 30.

The General Administration & Public Grievances Department of the Odisha government on June 11 has issued a letter to all Additional Chief Secretaries/Principal Secretaries/ Commissioner-cum-Secretaries of all Department of the Government /All Heads of Departments /All Collectors & DMs in this regard.

“….I am directed to say that no government official shall be allowed to avail leave or permission to leave the Headquarters. even on public holidays. (except on Health grounds) until 30 06 2024,” reads the letter.
