Bhubaneswar: Action will be taken after the high-level committee completes its investigation into the KIIT University incident.

This was informed by the Higher Education Minister, Suryabanshi Suraj, on Saturday.

Speaking to the media, the Higher Education Minister said that action will be taken after the high-level committee completes its investigation.

“The high-level committee has recorded the statements of everyone summoned in connection with this incident. The government will take appropriate action based on the investigation’s findings,” said Suryabanshi Suraj.

He also mentioned that 10 people have been arrested in connection with the incident.

“Ten people, including bouncers, trainers, and security guards, have been arrested. The police investigation is still ongoing and the CCTV footage has been sent to the forensic lab. A copy will also be sent to the government for further examination,” he said.

The minister added that all those involved in the case have been suspended. The police are also looking into a viral audio clip related to the incident.

“If the audio is found to be true, we will apply the IT Act,” Minister said.
