Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati attended a ceremonial dinner hosted in Bhubaneswar on Thursday night ahead of the BRICS Education Ministerial Meeting, being held under India’s BRICS Chairship.
The high-profile dinner brought together Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi, Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, state ministers, and senior delegates from all BRICS member countries.
Sharing details of the event on his X handle, Governor Kambhampati said he had joined the dinner hosted on the eve of the BRICS Education Ministerial Meeting in the presence of Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, the Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha, other state ministers, and distinguished delegates from BRICS nations. Calling it a matter of pride for Odisha, he pointed out that the state is hosting both the 3rd BRICS Senior Officials’ Meeting and the BRICS Education Ministerial Meeting.
Taking to his his X handle, Odisha Governor wrote: “Joined the dinner hosted on the eve of the BRICS Education Ministerial Meeting under India’s BRICS Chairship in Bhubaneswar, in the presence of Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi Ji, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha, Hon’ble Ministers of the Government of Odisha and distinguished delegates from the BRICS Member Countries.”
He further wrote: “It is a matter of pride for Odisha to host the 3rd #BRICS Senior Officials’ Meeting and the BRICS Education Ministerial Meeting, bringing together the BRICS nations to strengthen cooperation in education, innovation and research.”
It is pertinent to mention that Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi held a bilateral meeting with Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology of Indonesia, H.E. Brian Yuliarto, on the sidelines of the 13th BRICS Education Ministers’ Meeting in Bhubaneswar.
The Ministers explored avenues to deepen cooperation in higher education, strengthen institutional linkages, expand student and faculty exchanges, and foster collaborative research, innovation and capacity-building.
