Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Haribabu Kambhampati met with Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan at the latter’s residence on Monday in Bhubaneswar, in what the minister described as a personal and familial interaction.
However, the meeting also touched upon key administrative matters related to the Law Department.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, the Law Minister clarified that while the visit was largely due to longstanding personal ties with the Governor, discussions also covered improvements in the functioning of the Law Department.
When asked about the possibility of a Cabinet reshuffle, Harichandan reiterated that such decisions rest solely with the Chief Minister, adding that it may happen “soon or after some time.” He emphasized that the party president has already clarified the issue.
The minister also confirmed that deliberations were held on filling vacant positions in various state corporations, a move that may be expected in the coming weeks as part of the government’s administrative overhaul.
