Three Minor Girls Drown In Pond In Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: In a tragic incident, three minor girls drowned in a village pond at Kursi village under Umarkote police limits in Nabarangpur district on Thursday, leaving the entire locality in deep shock and mourning.

According to reports, the girls—two daughters of Rajman Gond and one daughter of Balsai Gond—had gone to a pond near their house for a bath in the afternoon. While they were bathing, they reportedly slipped into deeper water and drowned.

Locals rushed to the spot after noticing the incident and immediately pulled the girls out of the pond. They were taken to a nearby medical facility, but doctors declared them brought dead.

The sudden deaths have cast a pall of gloom over Kursi village, with the bereaved families inconsolable.

On being informed Umarkote police have launched an investigation into the incident, and the exact cause of death will be ascertained after the postmortem examination.
