Bhubaneswar: As many as 2,915 startups have been registered in Odisha so far, while 3,091 applications have been received for new startups, informed MSME Minister Gokulananda Mallik in the Odisha Assembly on Wednesday.
In a written reply to a question by MLA Pabitra Saunta, MSME Minister Gokulananda Mallik said that the state government is coordinating with 13 nodal agencies for evaluation and various processes of the startups, and 42 incubators for providing incubation, mentorship and other facilities to the startups. Startups are being provided support through Monthly Allowance Grant (MAG), Product Development & Marketing Assistance (PDMA), Need Based Assistance (NBA) and Subsidized Incubation.
The Minister further informed that 714 startups have been provided incentives through various schemes so far. Apart from this, 45 mentors are available to provide business guidance and consultancy to the startups.
The Minister further said that 33 micro, small and medium enterprises have been established in Koraput district.
