Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Health and Family Welfare department has made provision to hire vehicles for monitoring the implementation of different health schemes by the programme officers of various hospitals in the State.
In a letter to the CDMOs, PHOs, SDHOs, Capital hospital director and RGH- Rourkela, Health Secretary Shalini Pandit stated that the government has allowed the hiring of vehicles for official use to monitor the proper implementation of health schemes.
“For providing adequate logistic support to CDM&PHOs, SDMOs and Medical Officers of AD/JD rank posted at district level and given charge as Programme Officers under different Programmes and Schemes, Government has been pleased to allow hiring of vehicles as indicated in the table below for official use to monitor proper implementation of Government Programmes,” the letter read.
Two vehicles have been allotted for each District Headquarters hospital, two for Capital Hospital, two for RGH-Rourkela and one each for Sub-divisional hospital. A total of 96 vehicles are allowed to be hired by respective hospital authorities, the official informed.
The concerned head of the health facilities has been asked to follow the due procedure prescribed by the Finance Department for hiring of vehicles, the letter added.
