Bhubaneswar: Odisha cadre IPS officer Ashish Kumar Singh has been appointed as the Inspector General (IG) of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) on Friday.
The 2004-batch IPS officer has been appointed to the post for a period of five years from the date of assumption of charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
A notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs stated, “…Shri Ashish Kumar Singh, IPS (OD: 2004), has been appointed as Inspector General in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) (Level-14 in the Pay Matrix) for a period of five years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.”
The notification further stated, “It is requested that Shri Ashish Kumar Singh be relieved immediately to enable him to take up his new assignment at the Centre.”
