Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has increased the monthly remuneration of junior teachers appointed in primary and upper primary schools in the State.
Those who have completed three years in schematic positions are entitled to get Rs 20,000 instead of Rs 13,800 per month, a statement issued by the CMO said.
Taking into account the various demands of junior teachers, the government has decided to hike their monthly remuneration.
The hike will be effective retrospectively from January 1, 2023. It will benefit 12,784 junior teachers working in the state. An additional Rs 95 crore will be spent annually for this.
