Bhubaneswar: Odisha has emerged as the leading state in electric vehicle adoption in June 2026, with the state recording a 17% share compared to the national average of 12%, said Commerce & Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena.
In a post on X, the Minister credited the achievement to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives and called it ‘another contribution of PM Modi to Odisha, the gateway to Purvodaya.’
Jena also informed that Odisha has received more than Rs 40.50 crore in grants under the PM E-Drive scheme.
He extended his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi for their support in boosting EV adoption in the state.
The PM E-Drive scheme aims to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles and strengthen EV infrastructure across the country.
