Bhubaneswar: Odisha is likely to experience another wet spell triggered by a low-pressure area over the west-central Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood around during the Durga Puja. According to the regional center of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), several areas of the state are expected to experience rainfall from October 6-10.
The low-pressure induced rain is likely to dampen the Durga Puja celebration in the state as the Sasthi Puja of Goddess Durga falls on October 9.
The IMD has predicted that this system is expected to bring light to moderate rain accompanied by thundershowers in various districts of Odisha.
The IMD has forecasted that the developing low-pressure area will enhance moisture incursion and atmospheric instability, leading to widespread rainfall activity in the region.
