Bhubaneswar: Many Plus Two students are staging a protest at Master Canteen Square in Bhubaneswar demanding the cancellation of the Annual Higher Secondary Examinations (AHSE), 2022.
The students alleged that the government has decided to conduct the examination even though the syllabus is yet to be completed. They further questioned why the government is eager to conduct offline examinations while the classes had been held in online mode.
School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash had on January 24 said that the State Government is likely to conduct the Class 10 and 12 examinations given the downtrend in Covid-19 cases.
If there is no eventuality, the examinations may be held as per the procedure. Students should also remain prepared for their Class 10 and 12 examinations. In case of any eventuality, the State Government may take appropriate decision in this regard, he added.
