Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police rescued a 4-year-old boy from Hyderabad, 12 days after his kidnap from Balangir. Two suspects, including a woman, were arrested in this connection.
As per the report, the toddler who belonged to the Komna area of Nuapada district was kidnapped on September 29 when he had come to Balangir with his father. The child’s father had filed a complaint at Komna police station, following which a search operation was launched.
During the investigation, police came to know about the kidnappers and tracked the mobile number used by the kidnappers. And with the help of Telangana Police, Odisha Police traced the whereabouts of the child and rescued him from Hyderabad. The accused were meanwhile apprehended for interrogation.
The motive behind the kidnapping is still unclear, and further investigation is underway, said sources.
