Bhubaneswar: Odisha reeled under heat wave conditions today as eight places in the State recorded temperatures of 40 degree and above with Titilagarh being the hotest place by recording 42.2 degree Celsius.
The other places that recorded 40 degree Celsius and above are: Malkangiri (40.0), Boudh (41.0), Balangir (41.2), Bhawanipatna (41.2), Sundargarh (40.0), Sambalpur (40.1), and Jharsuguda (41.2).
The State Capital Bhubaneswar recorded 35.6 degree Celsius and its twin city-Cuttack was cooler and by registering a maximum temperature of 34.6 degree Celsius.
Gopalpur remained the coolest place in the State by recording 30.2 degree Celsius followed by Puri 31.9 and Paradip 32.1.
