Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported the first COVID-19 death in a span of seven days. According to the figures on the State COVID Dashboard, one person succumbed to COVID on Thursday. With this, the COVID toll of Odisha rose to 9,117.
On March 17, one COVID death was reported in the State after which the toll remained stagnant at 9,116 for seven days. The latest coronavirus-related casualty has been reported from Jagatsinghpur district.
With one more COVID death in Jagatsinghpur, reported on March 24, the district’s toll rose to 343. The maximum number of COVID deaths have been reported from Khurda where 1,748 persons have succumbed to the disease.
