Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has revised the salary structure of employees of Non-Government New-Aided High Schools and Sanskrit ToIs and teachers of block grant colleges on the basis of 7th pay commission rules.
The State Cabinet approved the proposals of the School and Mass Education department and Higher Education department in this regard.
About 7796 teaching and non-teaching employees of 627 Non-Government New-Aided High Schools and 39 Sanskrit Tols who are in receipt of 100% Grant-in-Aid will be benefited by such enhancement.
The Cabinet approved a proposal to revise the state Government Grant-in-Aid to institutions for eligible employees covered under Odisha (Non-Government Colleges, Junior Colleges and Higher Secondary Schools) Grant-in-Aid in the shape of Block Grant Order, 2014 .
Presently, the teaching and non-teaching employees of aided institutions governed under the Odisha (Non-Government Colleges, Junior Colleges and Higher Secondary Schools) Grant-in-Aid in the shape of Block Grant Order, 2014 are getting grant-in-aid on the basis of Orissa Revised Pay Rules, 2008.
In the meantime, block grant employees of these Aided Educational Institutions achieved the level of 100% of block grant. To extend grant-in-aid to these employees on the basis of ORSP Rules, 2017, one proposal has been placed before the State Cabinet.
The State Cabinet has been pleased to give its approval on the extension of the grant-in-aid at a revised scale in line with 7th Pay, in with Non-Government Colleges, Junior Colleges and Higher Secondary Schools effective from 1st January, 2024.
Consequent upon such revision, approximately 1789 numbers of teaching and non-teaching employees of these institutions will be benefited and there will be an additional annual financial implication of Rs. 27.37 Crores.
