Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida recently met with British Deputy High Commissioner Andrew Fleming at her Lok Seva Bhawan office.
During discussion, Fleming praised Odisha’s proactive approach to tourism development, noting that the state’s sports and tourism initiatives are an inspiration to countries worldwide. He also commended Odisha’s participation in the World Travel Market.
Deputy Chief Minister Parida highlighted the state’s efforts to develop its tourism infrastructure and emphasized the importance of skill development programs for women. The discussion also focused on collaboration to prevent child labor and human trafficking.
It’s worth noting that Andrew Fleming is the British Deputy High Commissioner to East and Northeast India, and has been instrumental in promoting collaborations between the UK and India in various sectors, including education and tourism.
