Bhubaneswar: The State government has released Rs 10 crore to four districts badly affected by heavy rain and flood.
The Office of the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has directed Collectors of four districts to expedite disbursal of allotted relief funds without delay.
In a letter to Collectors of Ganjam, Gajapati, Nabarangpur and Jharsuguda, Additional Special Relief Commissioner Padmanav Behera said fund allotment has been released to the districts under House Building Assistance, Crop Loss Assistance and Relief Camp Expenditure.
Of the total Rs 10 crore allocation, Nabarangpur has been allotted Rs 5 crore, Ganjam Rs 2 crore, Gajapati Rs 2 crore and Jharsuguda Rs 1 crore.
The Collectors have been requested to expedite the disbursal process and ensure timely provision of admissible relief assistance to eligible beneficiaries strictly in accordance with prescribed norms and guidelines. The SRC office has also sought the expenditure and utilisation status of the allotted funds.
