Bhubaneswar: Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Kumar Jena on Tuesday advised district authorities to take stringent action against the fishermen who are venturing into the sea despite repeated warnings.
After receiving some information regarding some fishermen defying the warnings issued in view of the cyclonic storm Asani, Jena asked the concerned district administrations to meet people and advise the fisherfolk to not venture into the sea till May 12.
He further stated that if any person doesn’t listen or disobey, action should be taken against them under the Disaster Management Act.
