Bhubaneswar: The 47th Foundation Day of the Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation (OSCSC) was observed today. Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare, Science and Technology Minister Krushna Chandra Patra attended as chief guest and appreciated the activities of the corporation. He said it has been successful in ensuring timely delivery of PDS to beneficiaries under the Food Security Act.
Speaking at the event, OSCSC Managing Director K. Sudarshan Chakravarthy said the corporation has taken various steps for farmers’ interest, including Aadhaar-based registration and timely payment within 48 hours of paddy procurement.
Food Corporation of India General Manager Nihar Ranjan Pradhan and Additional Secretary of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Srikant Behura also highlighted major activities of the corporation.
On the occasion, monthly booklet ‘Jogan Darpan’ was launched and retired employees of the corporation were felicitated.
General Manager Finance & Accounts Bibekananda Das presented the annual report while General Manager Pravat Kumar Mohapatra proposed the vote of thanks. Financial Advisor Debaraj Mandal, General Managers Ellora Samal, Pranati Priyadarshinee and other officers and employees were present.
