Bhubaneswar: Hockey Association of Odisha in association with the Hockey Promotion Council started its first Coaching Education Program, today, for developing hockey coaches in the state.
David John, Director of Hockey, Odisha is the instructor for this course. On the first day, women hockey players from Sports Hostel, Bhubaneswar were part of this program along with Olympians Sunita Lakra and Lililma Minz.
Most of these players were part of the team that recently won the Senior National Hockey Championship. This course will run in batches for the next few days and will help more hockey players from the state take up coaching as a profession.
