Bhubaneswar: The seventh edition of Odisha Travel Bazaar (OTB) concluded here on Monday after generating over 9,000 B2B and B2G meetings involving domestic and international tourism stakeholders, officials said.
Organised by the Odisha Tourism Department in association with FICCI, the three-day event at MAYFAIR Sanctuary brought together more than 200 buyers and over 100 tourism businesses to promote the state as a diverse tourism and investment destination.
The event saw participation from 145 domestic tour operators representing 32 cities and 45 foreign operators from 27 countries, providing Odisha’s tourism businesses opportunities to forge commercial partnerships and access new markets.
The tourism showcase covered the state’s heritage, spiritual, beach, wildlife, nature, adventure, cultural, tribal and culinary attractions.
An investment-focused engagement at OTB 2026 drew around 40 leading national hospitality brands and 250 state-based investors for discussions on opportunities in Odisha’s tourism and hospitality sector.
The government highlighted its policy initiatives, investment incentives, land availability, streamlined clearances and investor facilitation measures aimed at creating a favourable environment for tourism investments.
MICE tourism was another major focus, with policymakers and industry representatives discussing infrastructure, professional services, policy support and strategies to attract national and international business events to the state.
The Odisha MICE Incentive Portal was also inaugurated during a dedicated roundtable, providing a digital platform to promote the state as a destination for corporate conventions and facilitate applications for eligible financial incentives.
The event also highlighted Odisha’s cuisine, crafts, culture and local experiences, with celebrity chef and Odisha’s official brand ambassador for Odia cuisine Ranveer Brar participating in the programme.
Hosted buyers and tourism professionals were also taken on familiarisation tours to showcase lesser-explored destinations and tourism experiences. Eight FAM tours were organised as part of the pre- and post-event programme.
The successful conclusion of OTB 2026 is expected to further strengthen linkages between Odisha’s tourism enterprises, buyers, investors and industry stakeholders while enhancing the state’s visibility in domestic and international tourism markets.
