Balasore/Cuttack: As urban citizens across Odisha are exercising their franchise in the urban local body (ULB) polls today, new voters have expressed their choice of electing corruption-free and young candidates.
Prabrajya Mohanty of Balasore expressed his excitement for being able to cast his vote for the first time. He said that his vote will be for a deserving candidate who is corruption-free.
“Being a youth, I believe there is the need of youth to lead Odisha, therefore I will prefer a youth candidate,” he added.
Another first-time voter Swetalina Mohanty of Balasore also shared the same opinion. She expressed that the candidate should be able to address the issues of voters.
Ashish Maharana of Cuttack, after exercising his franchise for the first time today said that he wants such a candidate who will work for the development of the city and its citizens.
