Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Thursday arrested Prasanna Kumar Pani, JE (Technical Consultant), Samagra Sikhya Abhiyan, office of BEO, Pallahara, Angul, for possessing assets that he could not account for satisfactorily.
According to reports, the Vigilance sleuths unearthed disproportionate assets worth crores of rupees during simultaneous house searches at five locations linked to Prasanna Kumar Pani and his family members on Wednesday.
According to Odisha Vigilance, five buildings, including five buildings (three multi-storeyed) and one flat in Bhubaneswar, 26 plots, deposits of over Rs 64.18 lakh, cash to the tune of Rs 3.33 lakh, along with other assets unearthed during searches on properties linked to Pani and his family members.
Pani will be produced before the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, on Thursday.
