Odisha Vigilance Arrests Remuna Tahsildar In DA Case

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Thursday arrested Bidyadhar Pati, Tahsildar of Remuna in Balasore district, for possessing assets disproportionate to his known source of income.

Based on simultaneous searches conducted on the properties lined to Bidyadhar Pati, it was found that he possessed huge assets for which he could not offer any satisfactory explanation. Vigilance officials unearthed three high-value flats valued at approximately Rs 2.5 crore in Bhubaneswar and one in Balasore along with two plots of land and nearly 937 grams of gold during the searches. Additionally, he has deposits worth over Rs 1.12 crore.

Pati has been arrested by the Odisha Vigilance and will be presented in court today. A case has been registered at the Vigilance Cell police station against Pati and his family members in this connection.
