Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials on Thursday, apprehended Renuka Pattanaik, an Anganwadi Supervisor in Laxmipur block of Koraput district, while she was demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000. The bribe was sought from a newly appointed Anganwadi worker in exchange for ensuring her smooth engagement under the Laxmipur block.
According to an official release, the complainant, a recently appointed Anganwadi worker, alleged that Pattanaik had been harassing her since she assumed her post, demanding Rs 50,000 and threatening to disrupt her work if the amount was not paid.
