Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Monday launched simultaneous searches at six locations linked to Bhanja Kishore Behera, Ex-SRA of Tirtol block in Jagatsinghpur district, who is currently posted as SRA at Naugaon Tahasil.
The searches are being conducted on the disproportionate assets (DA) angle following Behera’s arrest in connection with the alleged misappropriation of government funds exceeding Rs 3 crore.
The action is related to Katak Vigilance Police Station Case No. 30/2026 registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2018.
The six places being searched include a residential double-storeyed building of approximately 7,000 sq ft at Patenigaon under Raghunathpur police station, a tent house of about 4,000 sq ft at the same location, another double-storeyed building of around 3,000 sq ft in Patenigaon, Behera’s office at the Naugaon Tahasil office, his previous place of posting at the Block Development Officer’s office in Tirtol, and the house of a relative in village Sanakorkora under Raghunathpur police station limits.
The searches were still continuing, and further details are awaited.
