Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths unearthed one double-storeyed building, one single-storeyed building, 27 plots including 10 benami plots in Bhubaneswar, four benami four-wheelers, along with other assets during searches at properties linked to Panchanan Behera, MVI, Nayagarh, on Tuesday.
The following assets have been unearthed in the name of Behera and his family members today:
- One double-storeyed building located at Sailashree Vihar, Bhubaneswar with an area of over 3,000 sq ft.
- One single-storeyed building located at Satya Vihar, Pandara, Bhubaneswar, with an area of approx 2,400 sq ft.
- 27 benami plots of which 10 are under verification.
In addition, the Vigilance officials seized bank, postal, insurance, and other deposits, which are being ascertained.
Four Benami four-wheelers (Maruti Suzuki, Ford Figo, Chevrolet DSL, and Ashok Leyland pick-up) and 1 two-wheeler have also been unearthed.
The searches are still underway and a further report is awaited.
