Odisha Vows Resilience On Disaster Preparedness Day: CM Majhi

Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of Disaster Preparedness Day, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi recalled the lessons of the devastating 1999 Super Cyclone and reaffirmed Odisha’s commitment to building a resilient and disaster-ready state.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), CM Majhi said, “we solemnly recall the lessons of the 1999 Super Cyclone and reaffirm our unwavering commitment to building a resilient, safe, and prepared Odisha. The State remains steadfast in strengthening disaster management systems, community awareness, and institutional readiness to safeguard every life and livelihood. Together, let us continue to uphold Odisha’s legacy as a model of preparedness and resilience.”
