Bhubaneswar: In a remarkable achievement, Odisha’s skating sensation Anahita Mishra has brought glory to India by winning a gold medal at the prestigious Faro Inline Freestyle World Cup held in Portugal recently.
This victory marks a significant milestone, as Anahita becomes the first Asian skater to claim gold in this esteemed European-dominated championship.
Hailing from Cuttack, Anahita demonstrated her exceptional skills in the speed slalom event, defeating the world’s fourth-ranked skater to secure the top spot and claim the trophy along with a cash prize.
This achievement adds to her impressive collection of international medals, marking her third gold in 2025 alone.
Earlier this year, Anahita had already made her mark by winning gold in Poland’s Ketrzyn and France’s Rennes. Her consistent success on the international stage has solidified her position as a shining star in the world of roller skating.
