Bhubaneswar: Odisha cricket lovers are buzzing with excitement as two local heroes have made it to the IPL 2026 auction list.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has included Swastik Samal and Rajesh Mohanty in the final list of 369 cricketers vying for a spot in the Indian Premier League.
According to reports, the IPL 2026 mini-auction, happening today in Abu Dhabi, saw a late surge with 19 new players added to the mix, including Samal and Mohanty. Both players have been given a base price of Rs 30 lakh each, and they’re ready to showcase their skills to the top IPL teams.
It is pertinent to mention that the final list of 350 players, including 244 Indians and 115 overseas players, has been prepared for the IPL 2026 auction, with 77 slots available across 10 franchises. The players have been divided into 42 sets. All franchises combined have 77 vacant slots, including 31 for overseas players.
