Bhubaneswar: Odisha Mining Corporation Limited (OMC) Managing Director Sudhanshu Mohan Samal visited the Daitari Iron Ore Mines and Bangur Underground Chromite Mine to review ongoing mining operations and assess overall operational performance. The visit focused on evaluating productivity levels and discussing long-term strategies aimed at enhancing production while maintaining the highest standards of safety and sustainability.
At the Daitari Iron Ore Mines, Samal reviewed mining operations, productivity, operational efficiency, and logistics. He stressed the need for continuous improvement, efficient resource management, and sustainable mining practices to achieve higher production while maintaining environmental stewardship.
Samal also visited the Bangur Chromite Mines, where he reviewed underground mining operations, optimisation of the production capacity of lumpy chrome ore to meet industry requirements, and ore evacuation systems. He directed officials to optimise production through better operational planning and modern mining practices while ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols in underground mining.
Addressing officials during the visits, Samal reiterated that operational excellence, innovation, safety, and sustainability must go hand in hand to strengthen OMC’s position as a leading mining company.
