Rayagada: A person died and over 13 others were injured after the bus they were travelling in lost control and overturned near Hatikhamba village under Mukundapur panchayat in Rayagada district late Tuesday night.
Reportedly, the bus was on its way from Paralakhemundi in Gajapati district to Nabarangpur when the accident occurred. While a woman died on the spot over 13 persons sustained critical injuries.
Police and fire brigade rescued the injured persons and admitted them to the district headquarters hospital in Rayagada. Only six of them are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
