Bhubaneswar: A tragic incident unfolded in Chandradeipur village in the Pipili area of Puri district on Wednesday when a bull went berserk, killing one person and leaving three others critically injured. The attack occurred in the morning as villagers were engaged in their daily chores.
According to eyewitnesses, the bull suddenly turned aggressive and began chasing and attacking anyone in its path. At least four villagers sustained severe injuries in the rampage. One of the injured succumbed to their injuries later, while the others were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Upon receiving information, Fire Brigade personnel swiftly arrived at the scene and initiated a three-hour-long operation to capture the rogue animal. Using nets and ropes, the team successfully subdued the bull and transported it to a veterinary hospital in Pipli for further examination.
The incident has left the village in shock, with locals calling for measures to prevent such attacks in the future. Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the bull’s aggressive behavior.
