Balangir: One person was killed while another was injured when an unknown vehicle hit them near Fish Market at Kantabanji in Balangir district on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Nakula Banachhor while the injured has been identified as Nutan Kaharia. Both are residents of Bada Maheswar village in Nuapada district.
While Nakula died on the very spot of the accident, the critically injured Nutan was rushed to Kantabanji Hospital for treatment.
Upon being informed, Kantabanji police rushed to the spot and launched a manhunt for the driver responsible for the mishap.
