Balangir: One person was killed and another sustained severe injuries due to collision between two trucks at Ratnapur junction on National Highway 26 On Deogaon Road on Monday.
According to reports, the accident left the helper dead on the spot while the driver is critically injured.
Upon receiving the distress call, the Deogaon fire brigade team promptly arrived at the scene and rescued the injured. The Deogaon police took custody of the body and sent it for post-mortem examination.
The accident has caused a massive traffic jam, stretching up to 12 kilometers, disrupting the flow of traffic on the national highway.
