Subarnapur: A gruesome murder shook Mendamal village in Subarnapur district late last night. Ajit Khandagiri, a resident of Baghmari village, lost his life in the incident, while another person from Champamal village was seriously injured. The murder occurred around 10 pm in front of the village Shiva temple.
According to reports, the police received information about the incident and rushed to the scene. They seized the body and sent it to Birmaharajpur hospital for autopsy. The injured youth was initially admitted to Birmaharajpur hospital but was later shifted to Burla hospital due to the severity of his condition.
The Birmaharajpur police have registered a murder case and detained one person for investigation. However, the investigation is yet to gain momentum as the police are awaiting information from the injured person.
The motive behind the murder and the identity of the perpetrator are still unclear. The police are investigating to unravel the mystery surrounding the incident.
