Bhubaneswar: One labourer died while three others were trapped at a stone quarry at Dhankari under Dharmasala police limits in Jajpur district, on Thursday.
The labourers were engaged in digging the quarry when the mishap took place. Three labourers are still trapped under the debris.
The district administration, meanwhile, launched a rescue operation to trace three missing labourers.
On the other hand, BJP MLA candidate Smruti Rekha rushed to the spot demanding stringent action against the quarry owner. She also threatened to take to the street if compensation for the deceased’s family was not paid.
