Mayurbhanj: One person was killed and two others were critically injured after an onion-laden truck caught fire following a head-on collision with a tractor near Dumurudhiha Chowk under Bisoi police limits on National Highway 49 on Wednesday late night.
A motorbike was also reduced to ashes in the fire.
According to reports, the onion-laden truck caught fire after it was hit by a tractor. A motorbike parked nearby also caught fire.
The deceased has been identified as Pappu Mahanat, a labourer from Nuagaon. The injured, the driver and helper of the truck, sustained severe burn injuries and have been admitted to the Rairangpur Medical College.
On being informed, Bisoi police personnel reached the spot and launched an investigation into the mishap.
