Balasore: The Out-Patient Department (OPD) services resumed today at the Satellite Unit of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Balasore.
The 1st weekly OPD Services of AIIMS Satellite Centre was started in Defence
Colony, Community Centre near Central School, Balasore under the auspices of AIIMS,
Bhubaneswar on 08.07.2017.
However, the services were later suspended due to an ongoing nationwide lockdown following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The satellite centre in Balasore is being set up on around 25 acres of land. Besides the OPD building (G+2 floors and consisting of A, B, C blocks), two blocks of staff quarters are being constructed in phase-I.
