Bhubaneswar: A joint operation by the Baipariguda police and excise department sleuths led to the destruction of illicit marijuana plants worth Rs 4 crore as part of their ongoing crackdown on illegal cannabis cultivation.
As per reports, the operation was carried out under Operation Green Mission, a special drive aimed at curbing large-scale cannabis cultivation in forest and interior regions
According to reports, the officials destroyed around 40 acres of ganja crop, valued at approximately Rs 4 crore, grown on government and forest land.
The operation was conducted in the presence of the Additional Tahsildar, Baipariguda. This is not the first such operation in the area, indicating ongoing efforts to curb illicit ganja cultivation.
