Bhubaneswar: The Orissa High Court on Tuesday granted bail to Archana Nag who has been arrested in connection with a case of extortion. Nag, the main accused in the high-profile sextortion racket in Odisha, and his husband Jagabandhu Chand are also booked in a money laundering case.
The cases are being investigated by the Commissionerate of Police and the Enforcement Directorate. Nag has been granted bail in connection with the case at Nayapali Police Station involving film producer Akshaya Parija.
While she has been directed to cooperate in the investigation and not to go outside, the other conditions put forth by the court are yet to be known. However, Nag will be in judicial custody as two more cases are pending against her.
