Cuttack: A division bench of the Orissa High Court today ordered the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe into the erroneous marksheet issued to a candidate, who appeared for JEE (Main) 2022 Exam.

The division bench of Justice Bidyut Ranjan Sarangi and Justice Murari Raman while hearing a petition filed by one Anshuman Kanungo directed the CBI to complete the investigation within four months and submit a report.

Kanungo claimed that he had scored 98.97 per cent but later found some discrepancies in the marksheet later and sent an email to JEE (Main) authorities for correction. However, the mark was subsequently changed to 37 per cent.

He has alleged that he was denied admission in any engineering college, including NIT-Rourkela, on the plea that the mark sheet submitted by him was forged.
