Orissa High Court Scraps ASO Main Written Exam, Fresh Exam On December 7

Bhubaneswar: The Orissa High Court has cancelled the Assistant Section Officer (ASO) Main Written Examination held on July 13, 2025, due to serious concerns over the exam’s conduct by the engaged agency.

To ensure fairness and transparency, a fresh Main Examination will be conducted on December 7, 2025, according to a notification issued by the Orissa High Court. And 7,113 candidates who qualified the Preliminary Examination held on May 4, 2025, will appear for the Main Written Exam.

The new examination will be conducted in three sittings on December 7. The English paper will be held from 9 AM to 11 AM, followed by General Awareness and Test of Reasoning from 12 PM to 1 PM. The mathematics paper is scheduled from 2.30 PM to 4.30 PM.

As per the High Court notification, students appearing for the exam have been advised to visit the Orissa High Court’s official website www.orissahighcourt.nic.in) and check under the Recruitment Corner section. In case of any discrepancies or errors, they can contact the Court’s Recruitment Cell at 9437498780 before December 5, 5:00 PM.

“The e-Admit Card for Main Written Examination shall be available for downloading from 10:00 A.M. of 17.11.2025 till 05:00 P.M. of 05.12.2025. Any inconsistency/discrepancy found in the Admit Cards may be immediately brought to the notice of Recruitment Cell of the Court over phone 9437498780 latest by 05:00 P.M. of 05.12.2025”, read the High Court notification.
